Energy Attribute Certificates

Green Electricity for your Business.

Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) describe global instruments which certify that a specific unit (usually 1 MWh) of electricity was produced from a renewable source. EACs comply with Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 2 Guidance. Energy Attribute Certificates (i.e. GoOs, RECs & I-RECs) are the only widely recognized instruments guaranteeing the renewable credentials of the supplied electricity. These certificates are a tradeable commodity.

Several manners to reach renewable energy targets exist and as global CO2 emissions are to be reduced by at least 45% by 2030, documenting your energy by using EACs is an effective way to improve sustainability. Whether your needs are for voluntary purposes or compliance markets, our specialists will guide you through available options, giving you improved market visibility, enabling you to make better-informed procurement decisions.

Carbon Offset

Compensating Business Emissions.

A Carbon Offset certificate is a way to compensate for emissions by funding an equivalent carbon dioxide saving project.

Europe, North America, and China have implemented “cap-and-trade” systems to reduce such carbon emissions. The companies participating in these compliance systems have an obligation to reduce their carbon emissions. In addition to these compliance markets, companies set voluntary reduction targets.

Calculating and reducing emissions is vital in a sustainability-driven world, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting is a key driver for companies to reduce their carbon footprint. Through voluntary emissions offsets, such as Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), and reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility targets, this market is becoming ever more accurate and transparent.

Structrum has a deep understanding of the most recent market mechanisms and instruments available to help you reduce your GHG Scope 1, 2, and 3 Emissions. Carbon offsetting funds solutions to reduce carbon emissions.

Our clients can choose VERs from thousands of projects worldwide, featuring the following technologies:

Biofuels

Reduce emissions through the use of Biofuels.

All EU all members have a national obligation to blend biofuel in road transport fossil fuel. The goals of the EU are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce their dependency on other nations for fossil fuels. All the member states have implemented their own fuel blending obligation based on the RED I and soon the RED II.

Biofuels are one of the largest sources of renewable energy in use today. With biofuels playing an increasingly important role in developing a sustainable, low carbon economy, we are a name give-up broker in feedstocks, physical biofuels, and blending obligation certificates.

As the decarbonization of transport, aviation, and maritime is becoming ever more urgent, countries are introducing blending obligations to stimulate the development of these alternative technologies.

Structrum can help you if you want to go further than your own national blending obligation and you really want to make a difference. With our long experience in the biofuel industry in Europe and the daily trades we execute in the European biofuels market, we can help you to reduce your carbon footprint on transport.

Structrum has an active network with all the different stakeholders in the biofuel industry. Our strength is our full supply chain focus from feedstock to physical biofuels to blending obligation certificates.
